Preventative Maintenance Inspections & Consulting
Existing buildings and communities inevitably experience deterioration, detention pond failure, sewage backups, sinkholes, street damage, flooding, etc. Solid Rock performs routine maintenance inspections to identify avoidable problems before they require costly repair and restoration.
Analysis & Research
We assess existing construction to determine how is has deteriorated and what’s needed to rebuild it to meet the originally approved permitting standards. We determine the source of the problem, design a repair/restoration plan, ensure compliance with original permit, specifications, and manage the solution.
- We start with a non-destructive visual inspection to determine what’s causing the problem.
- Then we research archived documents to assess how it was originally designed, permitted and constructed. We compare permitted plans to existing conditions.
- If necessary, we perform destructive sampling, lab testing, excavation, environmental analysis, etc.
Design
Once we complete due diligence, we work closely with you to fully understand your vision. We ask a lot of questions and invest the time needed to capture your ideas on paper. Our goal is to deliver a plan that exceeds your expectations and qualifies for effortless approval by the permitting agencies.
During planning, we also ask a lot of questions. We don’t want to waste your time with a plan that can’t get approved. Permitting requires intimate knowledge of ever-changing laws and guidelines from a myriad of governmental agencies. It’s a complex process since many of them have conflicting regulations and interpret the laws differently. We address every detail they require for smooth approval.
Permitting
Once your site plan is complete, we walk it through every stage of the complex, ever-changing permitting process. Because we took time during planning to meet each agency’s specifications, less than one percent of our plans require more than aesthetic alterations before they’re approved. We’re proud of our track record, our reputation for excellence with the permitting agencies and the time we save our clients.
Project Management & Quality Control
We prepare a detailed scope of work to restore problem areas to permitted conditions. We solicit bids from licensed contractors and appropriate professionals. We compare bids and cost estimates to make a recommendation of the contractors we believe are most qualified for the project, taking into consideration your needs regarding time and costs. Once the bid is awarded, we supervise the field teams to make sure they perform their job to exacting specifications.
Certificate of Completion
Once construction is complete, we collect all required documentation that demonstrates it was repaired and/or constructed according to approved plans. We prepare and submit the packages needed to receive final approval and authorization to occupy and use the property.
